Proposed "Pelham House Project"

Consistent with its mission to preserve the historic structures and aesthetic character of Pelham, the Pelham Preservation & Garden Society reviews and raises community awareness about proposed major development projects in Pelham.  We evaulate such projects to determine whether they are reasonably-scaled and of an architectural character that enhances the surrounding neighborhood and the town in general.   The organization has supported projects that meet these criteria while opposing others that do not.  See a complete listing of positions we have taken on various development projects. The Pelham Preservation Society is currently evaluating the proposed "Pelham House" project proposed for he block bounded by Fifth Avenue, Fourth Avenue and Third Street.
